  • HCMC proposes to establish a 330ha medical & pharmaceutical industrial park in Binh Chanh district.
  • According to the draft of the Department of Health on "Project for developing pharmaceutical industry in the city until 2030, vision to 2045", the city has many advantages in developing the pharmaceutical industry as the center with the largest human resources of the whole country with many universities.

  • As a concentration of large-scale hospitals, many leading specialties, and the last treatment line of many other localities, the demand for preventive and curative drugs is very large, especially specialized drugs and drugs for treating diabetes, cardiovascular disease, cancer...

  • Medical equipment circulating on the domestic market today relies mainly on imported sources (90%). The Department of Health said that the specialized medical and pharmaceutical industrial park will be located at Le Minh Xuan 2 (area 338ha), Le Minh Xuan commune, Binh Chanh district.

  • When established, the zone functions as a center for research, development and innovation in medicine and pharmacy. At the same time, focusing on high-tech segments: biotechnology, specialized drugs, high-tech medicinal products (cancer treatment drugs, plasma products...), biomedical products, products for testing, diagnosis, treatment, and health care.

  • Construction and operation.
